For me personally, this idea makes a lot of sense because I have Portuguese roots myself and come from the Torres Vedras region, about 50 km north of Lisbon. I visit Portugal regularly and have the option of staying there for free. This allows me to offer wedding services in this region on different terms than if I had to pass on all travel and accommodation costs.

I find it particularly exciting when couples from Switzerland with ties to Portugal choose to celebrate their wedding in Portugal. This allows me to bring my two worlds together: I work and live in Switzerland, but at the same time I’m familiar with Portuguese culture, mindset, and language.

Of course, Portugal is also very appealing to me from a photographic standpoint. The light, the landscape, the architecture, and the overall atmosphere offer a wealth of opportunities for wedding photography. At the same time, I want to deliberately separate this area from my commercial portfolio so that the positioning of my commercial work remains clear.

When it comes to weddings, it’s especially important to me that the photos not only look beautiful but also truly document the day. I want to capture the atmosphere, the people, and the little moments without making the entire wedding day feel like a staged photo shoot. Of course, when it comes to couple portraits, I can be a bit more deliberate and focus on aesthetics.
